Radiology can provide evidence of an injury, infection, or disease that cannot be seen without an invasive procedure. It can help establish how severe, extensive, or advanced a condition is and help predict the likely outcome (prognosis). It can provide evidence of a response (or the lack of a response) to treatment and help guide medical procedures like cardiac catheterization. The typical radiology team is made up of a radiologist and radiation technologists.
